Workplace Safety
Workplace safety is a major focus for those at the IBEW Local 586 Ottawa. We take every step necessary to ensure that all of our members are trained and working in safe work environments.
At IBEW Local 586 Ottawa, we are constantly pushing the workplace safety envelope forward. Because safety is so important, we are continually educating our members and conducting safety course upgrades to keep our team working at full capacity. We have safety representatives on all of our job-sites making sure everything is safe and secure.
We believe that workplace safety requires a joint effort between us and the contractors we work with. That’s why we make extra strides to work closely with electrical employers to go above and beyond the standards of provincial safety regulations.
