Construction I (Basic Electrical Construction Knowledge)
This program is designed to provide apprentices with the skills and knowledge to complete their basic trade school and become a more capable and productive apprentice on the job site.
This program covers:
- Basic Electron Theory
- Series and parallel resistors
- Basic Trigonometry
- Load calculations
- Residential wiring
- Commercial wiring
- Hand bending EMT
- Machine Bending and threading EMT and ridged conduit
- Pulling wire
- Blue print reading
- Thermal Welding/Grounding
There are several quizzes, a project and a final exam. The students must
achieve a 70% average and complete all training to pass the program.
