Construction I (Basic Electrical Construction Knowledge)

This program is designed to provide apprentices with the skills and knowledge to complete their basic trade school and become a more capable and productive apprentice on the job site.

This program covers:

  • Basic Electron Theory
  • Series and parallel resistors
  • Basic Trigonometry
  • Load calculations
  • Residential wiring
  • Commercial wiring
  • Hand bending EMT
  • Machine Bending and threading EMT and ridged conduit
  • Pulling wire
  • Blue print reading
  • Thermal Welding/Grounding


There are several quizzes, a project and a final exam. The students must
achieve a 70% average and complete all training to pass the program.
